Kelly Zayas Daughtry

Kelly Zayas Daughtry is a recent graduate of the MA/MFA program in Literature, Creative Writing, and Social Justice at Our Lady of the Lake University. She taught high school English for thirteen years and currently teaches at the university level. Her work has been published in A Field of Words: A Creative Writing Text by Sybil Estess and Janet McCann, and in the San Antonio Express News. Kelly writes creative non-fiction and graphic stories. Her writing explores aspects of illness, education, feminism, and generational ties to family. She resides in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and their three children.
